Due to the geology and hydro-geoloy in Binh Phuoc province leading to the almost of the wells for water supply in to the unconsolidated rock layers and often to be small water discharge and to be declined after some years. The authors have studied and proposed the improvemnet solutions for the wells. The improved well has been chosen at Ong Nang area, Vuon Buoi group, Loc Thien village. The depth of old well is 115m with diameter of 110 mm. The chosen solution is open diemeter of the old well form 110 to 140 mm by the drill and to be flooded the well with HCL 36% in 6 hours in order to dessolve the resides to be adhered to the rock fissures.  The stable water discharge has been 2,3 m3/ hour after improved well instead of 1,37 m3/hour before.

The ​​white-leg shrimp farming area has increased dramatically in the period from 2011 to 2015. In recent years, the area of ​​abandoned aquaculture is increasing due to inefficient farming; environmental pollution, widespread disease. Farming area has decreased rapidly such as the concentrated shrimp farming area is abandoned mainly in the big estuary mouths. Besides the immediate socio-economic benefits, intensive and ultra-intensive white-leg shrimp farming in the tidal areas of without water circulation are still facing potential environmental problems caused the disease occurs regularly leading unsustainable development of shrimp industry. One of the causes of environmental pollution is that the untreatment waste released directly into the environment. In this article, the authors will present the results of the study on the model of wastewater treatment technology for intensive white-leg shrimp farming in tidal area at the farm of Mr. Le Van Loan in Thach Dinh commune, Thach Ha district, Ha Tinh province. It is three-pond model: treatment pond 1 - treatment pond 2 - environment. The results show that post treatment water meets National Standard when discharged into the environment. Accordingly, the authors propose to apply this wastewater treatment technology for intensive and ultra-intensive white-leg shrimp farming in central coastal provinces, contributing to mitigate environmental pollution, reduce diseases, improve the economic efficiency and sustainable development of tidal shrimp farming.

Pepper trees are one of the main plants in Highlands provinces, accounting for about 51.6% of the total pepper area of ​​the country, have been becoming "key strategies" and poverty reduction, enrichment trees of farmers, especially in remote areas. Water demand of business pepper is different from other plants, the period of flower germination (water tightening) about 30-45 days, we do not often  water, or irrigate with small amounts, in the period of flowering and fruits need to be watered, but too much watering is the risk of facilitating rapid death, slow death of the growing tree, which shows that the research finds the limit of moisture in the soil, reasonable irrigation level in each growth stage for normal growth, high yield is necessary, the article provides scientific basis to determine reasonable irrigation regime for The Center Highlands business pepper  will contribute to sustainable development of pepper in our country.

The recent unusual changes in erosion, sedimentation and the direction ofmain flow of the Red River are mainly due to the change of flow regime from upstream, in which the important factor is the regulation of the reservoirs, including Hoa Binh hydropower plant on Da river, Thac Ba hydropower plant on Chay river and recently Tuyen Quang hydropower plant on Lo river. That regulation has caused widespread erosion, thereby creating a new morphological relationship. The current trend of changing the Red River is taking place in the direction of disadvantage for the agricultural sector, transportation and socio-economic development activities of the Red River Delta in general and Hanoi capital in particular. The article introduces some research results of the process of transforming the bed of Red River from Son Tay to the Hanoi Hydrological station through actual annual measurement data.

In order to take advantage of the operating and generation conditions, hydro power plants are usually built on the same river. This will lead to requirements, operations and cooperation of  hydro power plants in order to maximize electricity output or revenue while still meeting other requirements for  flood control and water supply. However, electricity revenues of the reservoirs depends partly  on the price of electricity sold in the competitive power generation market. The research presents some regulating issues of Hua Na and Cuu Dat reservoir system in the Chu river basin while participating in the competitive power generation market. The research results also show the efficiency of the chosen flood control method  in comparison with the actual operation.

At present, there are many solutions to protect the coast from erosion such as sea dykes, revetments, seawall, detached breakwater…. Detached breakwater reduces wave, erosion, accretion whichs is a relatively comprehensive solution, is appreciated with emerged and submerged form. Structures used are usually prefabricated concrete blocks, paving stones, reefs ... In which Artificial Reefs are multi-purpose structures designed to protect the coast, stimulate the sea ecosystem and tourism development, very suitable for many types of coastal Vietnam, today. The article will provide some initial overview information for research on the application of artificial reefs to protect the coast of Vietnam.

The article presents the research on the relationship between the depth of asphalt mortar penetration with the size of the stone and asphalt wet in the slope protection structure of the sea dyke embankment with the fully grouted stone asphalt. Through the relationship formula to determine the depth of penetration and asphalt wet. Depth of penetration and asphalt wet are two of the important physical and mechanical parameters of the the fully grouted stone asphalt, in order to research and apply this material to the slope protection structure of Viet Nam’ sea dyke.

A open-source three-dimensional unstructured-grid numerical model FVCOM has been applied to examine circulation, wave, and thermal structure in the Nhat Le estuary, Quang Binh province. The model used meteorological data downscalling from WRF model for the simulation year of 2009 and 2018. The simulation results were tested against ADCP observations of currents and wave. The results show that mean currents direction was predominantly SE and NW. There were clockwise circulation in the adjacent of the estuary while a larger anti-clyclonic offshore. The spacial variation of water temperature was found with higher temperature onshore and lower temperture at offshore with the difference can be 1.0 to 2.5 degree C. Data including current and wave measured by ADCP instruments.

Sea level rise is related to climate change and global warming. In 2017, global sea level was 3 inches (77mm) above the 1993 average - the highest annual average in the satellite record (1993-present). It is really a serious problem for our country and especially for coastal areas. Danang is a economic center of central Vietnam with potential for tourism and inland waterways. Hydrodynamic environment at Han estuary affects flooding and inland waterway. This article presents some result of Using hydrodynamic models to simulate estuarine systems at Han river downstream with sea level rise scenarios caused by climate change.

The demand for investment in the construction of rural water supply schemes is increasing while the state budget is limited to meet the requirements, the solution of investment in the form of public-private partners has several roles and important positions to solve this problem.  In order to attract the private sector to invest in the form of public-private partnerships, the balance of benefits between the public and private sectors is the most important factor. The paper uses Enhanced Linear Programming (ELP) to propose a structure of equity to optimize benefits between the public and private sectors with data from an investment project of clean water supply scheme in Trung Dong and Truc Tuan communes, Truc Ninh district; Nam Thanh commune, Nam Truc district of Nam Dinh province. Research results show that the optimal equity structure is 20%, the public sector participation is from 28.32% to 51.97% of the construction investment. These findings should be used as a benchmark for relevant agencies such as project enterprises, state management agencies, and financial institutions when selecting projects for Public Private Partnership in Rural Water Supply in Vietnam.

This article proposes semi-empirical equations to estimate wave transmission coefficient through submerged complex with solid piles breakwater base on theories of energy conservation of perpendicular wave transmission incorporate with physical hydraulic experiments in wave flume apply on both types of submerged breakwater with and without piles. These equations are able to describe interactions and energy dissipation process for each element of this complex structure which are foundation block and pile rows. Energy dissipation process depends on three major factors which are [relative submerge depth (Rc/Hm0), relative crest width (B/Hm0), wave slope at construction location (sm =Hm0/Lm)] and wave energy dissipation process through piles rows is determined by two major factors [relative submerge depth or submerge length of piles (Rc/Hm0)  and relative pile rows width (Xb/Lm)].

Pressurized tower is one of the important items in the hydropower plant system and especially for small hydropower projects, mainly using the type of path exploitation. The structure of the imposing control tower and the water level in the tower is constantly changing to ensure stable operating conditions of the pressure line, so the bearing conditions are relatively complicated. The main research contents of this paper apply HHt-α method to study the impact of water level fluctuation on the pressure regulator tower. Thereby determining the stress field in the structure of the pressurized tower structure changes over time in response to changes in the water level in the tower according to the actual conditions in order to have appropriate construction behavior to ensure economic conditions and Technology.
